BBQ in the Carolinas has become the most casual and accepted way to entertain a large group of friends, co-workers, family reunion or the whole neighborhood. Serving a BBQ spread for a wedding or rehearsal dinner has become a fun alternative for couples looking for a less formal reception while keeping the budget reasonable. Just add a few touches like wild flowers in mason jars and gingham linens with a lemonade stand and you can create a nostalgic wedding that guests will talk about for years to come.
The cultural tradition and storytelling around pork BBQ itself creates spirited conversations around whose BBQ is the best, what wood chips to throw in the smoker, do you like yours chopped or pulled, and what spice rub to use. Of course, the big question is this: What sauce do you prefer: Eastern, Western, SC Mustard or even Alabama white sauce.
At Something Classic, our BBQ chefs keep their pitmaster secrets close, but are proud of our chopped pork BBQ and our secret sauce. We like to offer several alternatives to pork with a twist and combine fresh garden sides that will tempt the most discerning vegetarian as well as your favorite foodie guests. We like to add a few international twists along with Southern recipes passed down from our grandmothers.
Don't forget to add a few appetizers like our Vidalia Onion Dip with Caramelized Onions and Gruyere and our famous lemon raspberry bars and banana puddings in petite mason jars. We have a twenty guest minimum and invite you to give us a call so we can discuss your personal BBQ stories and how we are going to put the finishing touches on a great tradition for your next get together.
